The pun-derfully named “Virtuali-Tee” takes science to a whole new dimension. The t-shirt enables you to learn about the human body, on a human body.

We spend a lot of time on our devices and the creators of the Virtuali-Tee thought it best to come up with something constructive to do with them.

T-Shirt Design

It has a rib cage design, with a spinal cord through the length of the t-shirt. The design consists of little boxes that work like a QR code to track what needs to be put where on the app. The Virtuali-Tee is made from 100% cotton. It is soft, durable and machine washable.

How Does It Work

The company, Curiscope, designed an augmented reality and created an amazing 3D learning experience. You are able to interact with the anatomy as if it is right there in front of you. The t-shirt comes with instructions to download the app where you’ll be able to best experience the biology of your body.

When you put on the t-shirt and synch it with the App, it opens a virtual portal to your body. The circulatory, respiratory and digestive systems are fully explored through an immersive 360-degree video. When connected to a virtuality headset the experience gives the feeling of being inside one’s body.

The T-shirt works in three easy steps:

1. Download the App. Available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
2. Put on the T-shirt or get a friend to wear it.
3. Open the App & point the camera at the virtual t-shirt and start exploring.

Features Of The Virtuali-Tee

Once the app camera reads the T-shirt’s code, all the features will be seen. On pressing on any part of the menu, the app will bring up a menu where you can navigate any part of the body’s systems.

Each part you select will single it out and show you how the system works. There is also an audio presentation as you navigate the app that helps you understand what is happening.

 

Quizalize has teamed up with Virtuali-tee to create relevant quizzes you can use as part of any science lesson – bring learning to life. Students can use the app to take a guided tour inside their bodies, and then play our fun and engaging classroom quizzes to assess their scientific knowledge.

The app tends to desynch at times and needs almost perfect lighting to work but seeing as it’s a free app and an inexpensive t-shirt, it is worth the limitations. However, once you get it working, the learning experience is beyond compare.
