The OPPO Reno6 5G Wildlife Photography Competition was one that invited Kenyans to present their best photography skills. In an effort to promote local tourism, the contestants had to capture images of this country’s wildlife from the various parks and reserves. Well, only one chosen to home the coveted KES 200,000. Jeremy Kioko, the ultimate winner was awarded for his image of a leopard perched on the branch of a tree at the Tsavo East National Park. This, according to OPPO Kenya, was judged as the best image and worthy of the grand prize.
The competition was also designed by OPPO to promote mobile photography as the contestants were required to capture their images using their daily drivers.
Benjamin Orori, the first runners-up, received Ksh 100,000, while Kevin Mwanyiro, who came in the third took home Ksh. 50,000 shillings.
OPPO Kenya PR Manager Muthoni Wachira said the aim of the challenge would not only highlight OPPO Reno Series innovation in-camera features and capability but also support the recovery of the tourism industry.
“OPPO continues to innovate further to enable customers to record every precious moment as professional-looking portrait images and videos. The Reno6 5G for instance features a 64MP AI Triple Camera setup on the back and a 32MP Selfie Camera on the front. Additionally, it has a dedicated colour temperature sensor that captures colours more accurately.”
The OPPO Reno6 5G also features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2400 pixels. This is powered by a MediaTek 1200 octa-core processor integrated with the 5G modem. The chip works alongside 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage although there is a variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage space.
At KES 59,999, the device is available in all OPPO stores across the country as well as online stores.
