How To Get COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate Online

COVID-19 is still wreaking havoc across the globe and the recently confirmed Delta variant has proven to be more dangerous than expected. This has been witnessed in Kenya with rising COVID-19 cases and unfortunate deaths as well.

Despite the belief among many, the vaccine is important for everyone at these times as we continue to await more long-term solutions to the pandemic from health authorities. In case you are not aware, here are some facts you should know about the vaccine rollout in Kenya:

  1. Kenyan facilities are giving out the AstraZeneca that is given in 2 doses 12 weeks apart.
  2. Vaccination in major public and private health centres from 8 am till 5 pm.
  3. All persons above the age of 18 can receive the vaccine.
  4. The vaccine is free to anyone.

With all that said, it is important to note that the vaccination certificate is given once you take your first dose. Once you’ve had you’ve done that you can then follow the following steps:

  1. Go to portal.health.go.ke on your browser.
  2. Log in to the health portal if you already have an account. If you don’t, you can then register by filling in all the details required.
  3. You will then be redirected to your account page where you will be required to confirm your details.
  4. To register for the certificate, you will then have to fill in your credentials and health details in the ‘My Profile Details’ section. This also includes contacts of your next of kin.
  5. Only after you have received your first does will you then be able to get your certificate.
