Bolt, the ride hailing app, has introduced a feature that allows clients to add extra stops to their rides. This will enable you to make a stop at a supermarket to do some shopping on the way home or even drop your friends home when you share a cab.

How To Use This Feature

To use the feature:

  1. Open The Bolt App
  2. When it prompts you to enable location services, Don’t. Select set pick up manually.
  3. This allows you to both set the pick up and destination manually.
  4. You will then be required to tap on the plus sign feature found on the address box to add up to three additional stops while en route to their final destination.
  5. **You will be able to see the price upfront for the entire ride including the stops.

I’ve tried the feature and it works. Even when you add stops, the price does not var too much and could even be similar, should you be so lucky.

Bolt Had This To Say

Ola Akinnusi, Country manager- Kenya, had this to say,

“We continue to offer quality services that suits the needs of our esteemed customers. Our core business is to provide convenient, safe and affordable transportation services to everyone and we are excited to make travel easier and convenient to our customers.”

This makes cab sharing a more approachable idea with the stops feature being implemented. You can now share a cab with friends when going to or coming from a party or event, keeping you safer and reducing the costs of your rides. Bolt also urges that you keep your stops short so as to finish the trip faster keeping everyone happy. Bolt, formerly Taxify, is now available in Nyeri, Meru, Embu, Nanyuki, Karatina, Kilifi and Malindi, adding to its earlier network of nine towns.
