Amazon Alexa, just like other smart assistants makes life easier and productive because of the convenience it offers. You can ask it to turn on the lights, read the news and more. While Alexa is taking your requests, it also records samples of your private voice recordings. That’s why you may want to take control by deleting your Alexa voice recordings regularly.
Why does Alexa save recordings?
Each time you say “Alexa” (or whatever your wake word of choice happens to be), Amazon might be listening. Amazon says that Alexa saves n extremely small fraction of the voice recordings to make the experience better, to improve the accuracy of the results. As much as this is to help Alexa get better, it may leave smart home users feeling a bit uneasy. There should be precautions taken as there has been mismanagement in the past.
