Owners of the popular Huawei Y9 2019 had been gutted to hear that their phones wouldn’t be part of the software update list for Android 10. This was such a disappointment to the point of signing an online petition asking Huawei to reconsider the decision.

Well, if you own the Huawei Y9 or the Y9 prime 2019, there is finally a good signal for these two particular smartphones from the manufacturer. Huawei Mobile yesterday confirmed on Twitter that the Y9 2019 will receive EMUI 10 update, which is really good news for the users.

Thank you for your message. The Huawei Y9 2019 will recieve the EMUI 10 update.

This statement now goes to nullify an earlier confirmation from the company stating, “We regret to inform you that EMUI10.0/Android 10 will not be available for Huawei Y9 2019 due to hardware limitations, as it requires higher hardware specifications for optimal performance.”

In our view though, the 2018-released phone is well equipped with good hardware specs and it wouldn’t have bee a surprise for it to be shortlisted for Android 10.

EMUI 10 is the latest update for Huawei smartphones which is based on the latest Android OS version. It brings changes in the UI design and introduces new features like Magazine Style UI layout, Morandi Coors, system-wide Dark Mode, Golden Icons, New Animations, and improved privacy features.

Furthermore, the latest version of EMUI also arrives with a lot of tweaks and improved software enhancements. One of these includes GPU Turbo technology which improves graphics processing by 60%. This is further supplemented by Link Turbo that allows smartphones to access multiple networks like 4G and WiFi to provide 70% faster overall network speeds.
