The Huawei Nova 5T was initially released back in September 2019 in other global markets and not East Africa. Actually, the Nova series has never sold in Kenya until now.
Back to the Nova 5T, the smartphone is one that was ahead of its time with attractions such as a punchole display and 5 cameras in total. There’s also a side fingerprint scanner and USB-C fast charging that Huawei promises zero to 100 charge in 90 minutes.
Speaking of the 5 cameras, there’s a 48MP main lens, a 16MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, we have a 32MP lens. These cameras Huawei says will deliver exemplary photos but we’re yet to test this out.
Other specifications of the Huawei Nova 5T include:
- 6.26″ FHD+ display
- Kirin 980 Octacore processor
- Android 9.0 out of the box with an update to Android 10
- 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage
- 3750mAh battery
Pricing and Availability
The Kenya pricing details for the Huawei Nova 5T are yet to be made public, however, we expect the device to cost around KES 35,000.
As for availability, as always, it will be on sale across all Huawei outlets in the country, whether it’ll be available immediately after the launch on 23rd January or on a later date is something that we’ll know on Thursday.
