You Might Have 'Early Access To Features' on Instagram

Instagram is reportedly considering an “Early Access to Features” option. This move may mirror WhatsApp’s existing program, where users test unreleased features. Currently, testers can only join the Android Beta program to access Instagram’s features that are being developed.

The early access feature option on Instagram will be available within its settings menu, according to a screenshot shared by mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi.

While the feature details are unavailable, it may work similarly to WhatsApp.

Currently, Instagram users can customize their chat themes by choosing from options like gradients and colors, as well as special themes. A leaked screenshot reveals a new feature called “Create with AI” along with other chat themes such as Pickleball, Snack Party, and Minecraft.

Meta uses a similar approach by releasing multiple beta versions of features in WhatsApp. These features are tested with a small group of people before being made available to everyone. This approach keeps users informed about the features that WhatsApp is working on and the expected timeline for their release. Additionally, users can also request to add specific functionalities to the instant messaging app.
