Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S23 series, is now available globally. It is reported that pre-order numbers have already surpassed those of their predecessors, the S22 series. The devices are now available for purchase at Samsung authorized dealer stores in Kenya, including Safaricom.

The Galaxy S23 series comprises the S23 Ultra, S23+, and S23 base. The phones were unveiled globally on 1st February 2023 and have since been the talk of the town.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Notable Features

One of the most notable upgrades on the Galaxy S23 Ultra is its camera system. The phone boasts a 200MP Adaptive Pixel sensor that supports multiple levels of high-resolution processing.. The Super HDR selfie camera has also been improved to capture images and videos at 60fps.

The Expert RAW app is another feature that is bound to appeal to photography enthusiasts. This is available exclusively on Samsung Galaxy devices. It enables DSLR-style image shooting and editing in RAW and JPEG.

Similarly, the Galaxy Watch5 series’ Camera Controller app has also been improved. It now allows users to capture a shot right from their wrist. This feature, combined with the phone’s new zoom capabilities, makes it easier to capture the perfect shot from any angle.

Other upgrades on the S23 series include enhanced 8K video at 30 frames per second with a wider angle and advanced, object-based AI that analyzes every detail in the frame, down to minute facial features such as hair and eyes.

Pricing

The S23 series’ pricing in Kenya is as follows: the S23 Ultra 512 GB costs KES 209,999, the S23 Ultra 256GB is priced at KES 195,999, the S23+ 256 GB retails at KES 154,999, and the Galaxy S23 256 GB is priced at KES 135,999.

Despite the high price, 60% of consumers in the pre-order phase have been opting for the most premium Galaxy S23 Ultra.
