In my rounds trying to save on almost everything, I had a look through data offerings by various telcos. Alas! Indeed, Telkom Kenya has a wide range of data bundles and of validity options to meet your needs.

Telkom Kenya data is quite affordable, with the price per MB going as low as 9 cents per MB. You could even get yourself a mobile and insurance bundle for a few coins!

Mambo Bundles

Dial *544#  to subscribe.

Here you get Mambo 99 (2.5GB + 100Mins) with the Mambo 99 plus giving you a Britam cover. This has 4K accident cover and 4K in last expense cover, valid for 30 days. There is also Mambo 199 that comes with 6GB + 200Mins.

Life Bila Noma Bundles

With Life Bila Noma, customers get their medical expenses covered in case of an accident and, in an unfortunate loss of life, Britam will provide a funeral cover.

You can purchase the bundle via USSD *444#.

Under Life 200, subscribers pay Sh200 monthly for personal accident cover of up to Sh20,000 and last expense of a similar amount. A customer will also get 1GB of data, 25 minutes on any network, 100 on-net minutes, and 25 SMS.

Madaraka Life Plus

Access this through *444* and it is currently in option 7. Under it, users spend KES 70 to get themselves 1GB of data and 100 Onnet Minutes. Additionally, the bundle offers insurance with 4K accident cover and 4K in last expense cover, valid for 30 days.

The following do not have insurance with them, but you could try them for the generous offerings.

Sema Yote Bundles

With Sema Yote, customers get 100 free minutes of talk time per day at a cost of KES 10 valid for 24hrs. For  KES 150, you receive 100 minutes of talk time per day for the next 30 days.
