Are you into smartphones? What would be the most futuristic smartphone you have heard of? Let me bring your attention to the Vivo Nex 3.

Vivo is one of the top 10 best selling smartphone brands in the world and aside from recently launching in Kenya, the brand has announced their latest device that shatters the expectations of slim bezels, the Vivo Nex 3.

Before we get into the specifications of the Nex 3, note that according to the company, the device currently has the highest screen-to-body ratio at 99.6%, what this means is that the display literally covers over 99% of the front side of the phone.

The display is the headlining feature of the Vivo Nex 3. This is a curved display that flows to the sides of the phone so much that there’s no space for physical buttons on the sides such as the volume buttons. The company has instead incorporated virtual buttons on the device, known as Touch Sense, with haptic feedback when they are pressed.

This display has been dubbed the “waterfall full view” and it’s the same display that we saw OPPO tease a while back.

Here are the specifications of the device:

  • 6.89-inch 1080p OLED Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor
  • Vapour chamber cooling system
  • 4500mAh battery capacity
  • In-display fingerprint scanner
  • Triple cameras – 64MP + 13MP ultrawide + 13MP telephoto
  • 16MP pop-up selfie camera

There was no mention of pricing or availability yet aside from the company mentioning that the Vivo Nex 3 will be “available in the coming months in the Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia and other markets.”
