Samsung’s latest device to hit the market is the Galaxy A80. The device, aside from hailing from the new A-Series, brings with it specifications that would otherwise be considered premium.

First, the Samsung Galaxy A80 comes with one set of three cameras on the back and a new infinity display at the front which means that the screen fills up the whole front without being interfered with by any notches or hardware features.

The screen stretches 6.7-inches and is a Super AMOLED panel as we have seen with the majority of the devices in the new A-Series.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 biggest selling point is its cameras. Not only because it features a 48MP main lens coupled with an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 3D depth sensor but also because this is the same set of cameras that users will have for their selfies.

We have seen pop-up cameras being implemented before but Samsung’s A80 introduces another trick up its sleeve. When users switch to the selfie camera, the main camera is the one that it popped up and then rotated, as seen below:

The Galaxy A80 also claims to be a powerhouse when it comes to battery life thanks to intelligent power saving features. The phone apparently has AI capabilities that are able to optimize RAM and CPU usage to allocate resources only when the user needs it thus saving battery.

However, with its 3700mAh battery capacity, I would bet that the A80 would do just fine without all the software tricks.

Other highlights of the device include USB-C, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and an under-display fingerprint scanner that gives off a wow-effect to all those who will witness users unlock their phones.

The price of the device is Kes.65,000 and it’s available at Samsung Experience stores across the country and a number of e-commerce websites.
