It’s finally burger week in Nairobi but it looks like this year things are going to be a little different. We are used to walking in to restaurants during burger week, faking it like you’ll order a salad the finally caving and asking for the burger offer. This year however, the organisers EatOut Kenya of Kenya have introduced a mandatory “Burger Week Passport” that’s changing how things work.
Let’s take a look at what it is and how you can get your hands on a Burger Week Passport in Nairobi.
Burger Week Passport in Nairobi
The new Passport consists of a code that you have to use and present to your waiter. This is to clarify that you are indeed part of the burger week fraternity. The card is going to cost you 200 bob and expires on the 26th of March 2023.
How To Get The Passport
It’s quite simple actually.
1. Go to the MPESA App & Navigate to the ‘Services’ section.
2. Search & Open EatOut
3. View all participating restaurants and outlets.
4. Get your Passport and present it at any of the listed outlets to access their offers.
It looks like EatOut realized the potential of #Burgerweek and decided to capitalize on it. I’d say it’s a good move for them financially seeing as they willl make some sort of profit from this. As a consumer I like to pay less so this will be a stinger in the pocket but if it means more burgers, I’m in.
What do you think though? Is it a good move ama they are jokers.
