Samsung’s new foldable devices have now been launched for pre-order in Kenya. This comes a few weeks after the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3 launched internationally on August 11.

According to Samsung Mobile Kenya, the pre-order period has already begun and is set to run to 20 September 2021. The recommended retail price for Galaxy Z Fold3 will start from KES 220,999 for the 512GB, while the recommended retail price for Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is KES 119,999.

The pre-order is currently available at all authorised Samsung stores as well as Safaricom retail stores across the country. For customers who wish to pre-order online, they can do so via Masoko.

Pre Order customers will also benefit from Samsung Care+ which  Includes screen repair protection that is valid for one incident for the repair of the damaged inner or outer screen of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the inner screen for Galaxy Z Flip3 within a 12 month period.

This year the number of foldable devices allocated to each market are unlimited as compared to previous years where only limited pieces were allocated to the Kenyan market.

“Last year we sold out all our foldable devices at pre-order, meaning there is a demand for this kind of devices in this market. This year we have enough numbers available for everyone who wishes to enjoy our foldable device range” Said Head of Consumer Electronics at Samsung Electronics East Africa Mr Charles Kimari.

Both devices have proven to be good upgrades to their predecessors that were launched last year. This includes the design update and of course the improved chassis that promises better durability in comparison to the Z Fold 2 and the Z Flip.
