Safaricom Customers to Enjoy Affordable Access to Boomplay

Safaricom has partnered with Boomplay, to avail the service to its customers via affordable daily, weekly, and monthly bundles. 

Boomplay Music is a media streaming and download service that was launched by TECNO mobile, first in Nigeria in 2015 before it came to Kenya. Over 75 million music lovers use Boomplay, where they can follow each other and see their playlists and posts and also send direct messages.

The platform has other features like music videos, Livestream concerts, and  a buzz segment where users read the latest news and create to share with others.

Safaricom Customers to Enjoy Affordable Access to Boomplay

BoomPlay has 3 subscriptions each with a month free subscription:

  • Google Play Subscription plan: Costs KES 199 per month
  • Boom coins: Costs 199 coins, equivalent to KES 199
  • Flutterwave Plan: KES 199, the first month costs 1 bob though

The new partnership will offer Safaricom customers Boomplay subscription bundles at discounted rates coupled with free data. These bundles are;

  • daily bundle of KES 20 with 50MB
  • weekly bundle of KES 120 with 300MB
  • monthly bundle of KES 299 with 1.5GB

Customers now get to enjoy ad-free streaming and unlimited downloads of their favorite songs and podcasts via the Boomplay app.

You can access the Boomplay bundles via the Safaricom App, safaricom.com, or USSD *544*6# under option 5–Boomplay and pay via airtime or M-PESA.
