Huawei has launched its latest addition to its line of True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Bluetooth earbuds, the Huawei FreeBuds 4. The earbuds boast of having a number of audio features designed to set them apart from their competition. This includes open-fit active noise cancellation 2.0 technology.

The Huawei Freebuds 4 are also compatible with both Android devices and iPhone. Users can download the HUAWEI AI Life app to adjust settings or perform various controls. This includes wear detection, quick control, status query, noise cancellation and device management.

The wireless earbuds feature a Liquid Crystal Polymer composite diaphragm that supports a frequency range of up to 40kHz. This helps further to reduce audio loss while also delivering trebles. Additionally, the buds are powered by 14.3mm dynamic drivers.

Huawei adds that the FreeBuds 4 Adaptive Ear Matching (AEM) technology in open-fit earbuds for the first time. This enables the earbuds to intelligently optimise audio bases on the user’s ear shape and wearing condition.

Noise cancellation is also said to be improved thanks to the adoption of the dual-microphone hybrid denoising technology.

“These microphones can help accurately pick up ambient noise and also features a new internal structure that can help avoid wind noise interference as well as improving sound pickup sensitivity for the internal microphone. This innovation alone can allow the earbuds to cancel out up to 25 dB of noise when noise cancellation is turned on, “says Huawei.

The earbuds are currently retailing at KES 17,999 in stores across the country with a free Huawei Band 4 attached for every purchase.
