realme has now added to its portfolio in the Kenyan market with a new budget smartphone, the realme C21Y. The smartphone boasts of being the world’s first to have TÜV Rheinland High-Reliability Certification. This launch follows the realme C11 that was launched in the country early this year.

The realme C21Y features a 6.5-inch with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels at a 20:9 screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is powered by an Octa-core Unisoc processor.

As for the cameras, there is a triple camera module that consists of a 13MP wide camera, and 2MP macro and depth lenses. The selfie camera is 5MP.

Power will barely be a problem thanks to the 5000mAh battery charged via a micro-USB port and supports reverse charging as well.

“Our Kenyan consumers have made us proud. The speed at which they have embraced our products puts a clear signature on what we have been saying all along about us understanding their needs and being kind on their pockets in terms of affordability,” said Mildred Agoya, PR & Marketing Manager, realme Kenya.
“We know what our customers want. We also know that tech trends keep on shifting. We are always on the run trying to keep up with the trends to make sure that our customers are happy.”
The realme C21Y is now available in stores across the country at KES 12,500 for the 3GB/32GB model and KES 13,700 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
realme also plans to launch its new high-end smartphone, the realme GT Master edition phone, in order to meet its growing demand for devices at that price.
