September 1 2021 marks 21 years since the famous Nokia 3310 was released. To this day, this phone remains one of the most successful gadgets of all time selling 126 million units across the world. One might say that it offered a big technological bump but that can’t be the only reason. Of course, those old enough to have owned it, know that this device would have survived a nuclear explosion. Yes, it was that durable unlike what we have right now.

So it wasn’t surprising to see the people of the internet post a tweet or two celebrating and remembering the Nokia 3310 as one of the most iconic phones. The mobile phone was not as advanced as what is available now, but it’s clear that thousands if not millions have fond memories of it. This is mostly attributed to the famous Snake game that had kids stuck to the green 2.4-inch LCD screen for hours. Oh, and let’s not forget that one could actually create their own ringtone from scratch. This is aside from the incredible tracklist that came with it.
But it’s clear that many are baffled to this day about how it was able to resist any form of damage.

Playing snake for hours and composing your own ringtones were the best things to do on the Nokia 3310 pic.twitter.com/bWohWIPP2z

Despite how strong the 3310’s chassis is known to have been, there were still people out there insisting on having a cover over it.

Oh, let’s not forget that the battery would last for a week or even more, depending on how often you use it. So, you might want to just recommend the 3310 to your friend who needs a phone with power that lasts forever.
