Cyberpunk 2077 has got to be one of the most anticipated video games for 2020. Other than the presence of Keanu Reeves in the title, it has been promised to be one of the best video games for 2020. For that, gamers around the world couldn’t wait for April to get here for the launch.
Unfortunately, it now seems like you’re going to wait a little longer (maybe too long) as the game’s official release has been pushed all the way to September 17.

Nevertheless, you should somehow find comfort in the fact that this isn’t the only game to be delayed for this year. It’s becoming something of an epidemic it seems. Although not too long, Final Fantasy VII Remake was delayed from March to April. Similarly, Marvel’s Avengers was moved from May to September as well.
But with Cyberpunk’s delay being the longest, you cannot deny that this truly sucks for everyone that was eager to have a try at it.
In its announcement, CD Projekt Red explains that while the game is currently playable, it needs fixes, polish, and playtesting. It called the time bought by this delay “the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”
We may all choose to be sad about the delay but we also have to give it to the developers for making the game as ideal as it should be. After all, we have had video games released in a haste only to be so disappointing to the point of regretting why we bought them in the first place.
