It may turn out as tradition for some that Samsung reveals ground-breaking home gadgets but this year may very well be the biggest for the electronics company. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 kicked off on Sunday at Las Vegas with the First Look event and every company that you can name is there to exhibit their most interesting tech.

Well, with Samsung Electronics being one of the biggest, it has decided to live up to its name with the reveal of a huge range of the latest high-res television screens. Kicking things off during the first look’s introduction were new 88-inch and 150-inch Micro LED screens, the bigger of which carried an 8K resolution. This also included Samsung’s new QLED 8K flagship, and a trio of Samsung’s gimmicky-sounding but actually rather cute Sero ‘rotating’ TVs.

But what stole the spotlight had to be the massive 292-inch Micro LED screen dubbed “Wall” with an 8K resolution. This is alongside other new 75, 93 and 110-inch 4K versions. Moreover, Samsung also ran demonstrations at the First Look event to remind everyone of the potential of Micro LED’s modular design to deliver screens of all sorts of different shapes and sizes.

Of course, this is not even the official kick-off of the CES in Las Vegas and with a whole list of companies set to showcase their own products, a lot more 8K TVs are expected to show up. But maybe the biggest surprise of the event so far would be the huge array of screens that were revealed at Samsung’s 8K zone.
