Currently, Airtel Kenya is down. No calls are going through and data services are down. For most of the morning, customers have been experiencing issues with their 3G/4G networks. Only the 2G network is working for now. The issue has since spread and many people have taken to Twitter to air out their complaints.

So far, there Airtel Kenya has since taken to Twitter and responded to the complaints saying,

They have also responded to the data issues saying they have randomly selected subscribers for testing their Data Manager option.
Customers have of late been experiencing problems with purchasing bundles and connecting to customer care. The team is still trying to work out the issues. The developing situation will be updated on this article as soon as things change.
Some were even complaining that Airtel did not give them bundles to watch Eliud run his race. It has been a hectic week for Airtel but they are confirming that they will resolve the issues as soon as possible.
For now, connect to 2G and you will be able to send messages and make calls.
