CD Projekt Red wants players to know there is a lot more to do with Cyberpunk 2077 other than the initial gameplay video and Keanu Reeves’ character. The Studio that’s also behind  The Witcher 3  has had the game’s existence known for quite a while now. But details about the open-world RPG have been so rare with gameplay video being even rarer.

After the long wait, however, the studio decided to show off the gameplay to the public through a video. And while the demo looked so similar to what viewers had seen at Gamescom and E3, it was still valuable enough to those who haven’t had a chance to attend the events.

But to bring even more value was the extended talk that the game’s developers had to offer the public as much information as needed. This was from the design of the Night City to the game’s setting, to sidequest designs, customisation, to the life paths that players will have in the game.

The developers went on to insist that the game will not have a fixed class system. This means that you will be free to develop hybrid characters with their own specialisations.

However you play, you’ll have to tread carefully. The video illustrates the possible consequences of choosing one faction over another. This includes your approach to the AI in your head (Johnny Silverhand, aka Keanu Reeves). Add branching storylines to this and there’s a real possibility that one playthrough will vary wildly from another. Whether or not this leads to satisfying gameplay is hard to say. However, there’s still a long way to go between now and Cyberpunk‘s April 2020 release.
