Mortal Kombat 11 is the gift that keeps on giving especially after the developing team announced the new set of characters that will be coming to the Kombat Pack DLC and as many had expected, they are as eccentric as they can be from a franchise that let us fight as the Predator.
Joining these DLC ranks will be Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 Terminator, Batman’s nemesis the Joker, evil queen of the Outworld Sindel, and comic book hero, Spawn.
The four characters are set to join the already-released duo, Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, confirming speculation that has been roaming around since June after a leak. With the trailer not showing any sign of the expected Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, who had been included the leak, Netherealm Studios and WB Games went on to reveal that the characters will be made available on different dates through this quick rundown:
- Shang Tsung: Out now
- Nightwolf: Out now
- Terminator: October 8, 2019
- Sindel: November 26, 2019
- Joker: January 28, 2020
- Spawn: March 17, 2020
More to this, Shao Kahn has also been released as a DLC fighter in the game as he was previously only available as a pre-order bonus. Similarly to 2015’s Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm revealed that they have plans for a full site of fighters to join the battle in Mortal Kombat 11, with even more fighters expected to be coming after Spawn joins the list.
But with NetherRealm’s known tradition since the previous edition of including guest fighters and then shifting them over to Injustice, many players may fear that this will be the same with the likes of the Terminator. But to keep calm, we might have to wait and see what happens with the fighters after their release. Fingers crossed!
