TikTok Launches New Monetisation Program For Creators

TikTok has launched its updated monetization initiative under a new name, the Creator Rewards Program.

The program is specifically created to ensure that creators receive payment for uploading high-quality, longer content. Only videos that exceed one minute in length are eligible for participation in the program. Creators will receive greater payouts from the scheme as their views increase, although other specific qualifiers are also considered.

With this move, TikTok is making its content more searchable on the internet, and rewards payouts are based on four key metrics.

  • Originality refers to showcasing unique quality content that reflects the creator’s point of view or creative thought process and resonates with their community.
  • Play duration considers both watch time and finish rate. Accounts will now be rewarded based on clear and engaging content rather than the number of videos uploaded.
  • Audience engagement, including likes, comments, and shares, contributes to increasing the value of creators’ content in the program.
  • Search value of content that aligns with popular search terms is assigned a search value metric, which increases its value for searchers.

To participate in this opportunity, creators must have a minimum of 10,000 followers and generate at least 100,000 views on their TikTok content in the last 30 days. The requirements are quite high, but if you meet them, you could earn money for your TikTok videos.

According to TikTok, creators can now earn up to 20 times the amount they previously made through the original fund.
