ChatGPT Plus $20/month

OpenAI, the ChatGPT maker, is launching a pilot subscription plan for its chatbot platform-ChatGPT Plus. This new tier will cost $20 a month. The aim is to provide a better and more advanced experience compared to free access.

Since its launch, ChatGPT has become the hottest tool on the internet, attracting millions of users on a daily. The AI model interacts in a conversational way that makes it super useful to a diverse set of people. From students to researchers, ChatGPT has been good at answering prompts, and follow-up questions, admitting its mistakes, challenging incorrect premises, and rejecting inappropriate requests.

A super assistant indeed.

Due to its growing popularity, the model has been quite slow or even inaccessible during peak use. As a result, ChatGPT Plus is launching to address that challenge.

Subscribers will receive an enhanced experience over the rest:

  • General access to ChatGPT, even during peak times
  •  Faster response times
  •  Priority access to new features and improvements

As of the moment, ChatGPT Plus is available to customers in the United States. They plan to expand access and support to additional countries and regions soon.

OpenAI has had to find a way to monetize the platform, considering their recent partnership and investment from Microsoft worth billions of dollars. However, turning a free service into a paid one would not be the best approach if you desire to keep users around.

Therefore, it is important to note that free users will continue to access ChatGPT. This new subscription pricing is supposed to help support free access available to as many people as possible. Just like it is done with Telegram and Telegram Plus.

Just last week, Open AI released an AI classifier tool they trained to distinguish between text written by a human and text written by AIs. They will also soon launch the ChatGPT API for those who seek to build products or use the technology for research purposes. You can check out the waitlist form here.

  1. ChatGPT Plus sounds interesting, but I’m curious about the real-world benefits. Will faster responses and priority access make a noticeable difference in daily use? Maybe ChatGPT Online could summarize what other users say?”
