The tech season has been flowing smoothly so far this year with smartphone launches being hosted one after the other. But in what world would it have been a successful season without another Apple event to unveil the new generation iPhone 13?
However, there definitely was some sort of excitement about the virtual event in general but not that much about the iPhone 13. This is especially among the tech nerds who seemed pretty certain that the design bump from the iPhone 12 would be very small. And we ended up being proven right as the iPhone 13 looks pretty identical to last year’s phone.
But with every iPhone launch comes a whole lot of talk about the new phone on social media and the iPhone 13 was no different. This time it wasn’t about a new look but rather making fun of how familiar it already looks.

And then came the good old kidney jokes trying to make people realise how expensive iPhones are.

Later followed jokes about how older iPhones tend to lag after the launch.
