Huawei’s calmed wars with the US may have affected all its future devices until further notice but not the P30 series devices. The flagship line-up had been on the list for Huawei’s devices set to receive Android 10 since last year and now seems like the right time.
Beginning with the performance units, the end of this past week has seen the last and cheapest member of the family, Huawei P30 Lite receive the latest software update. On top of the system update comes Huawei’s latest proprietary UI, EMUI 10. This, of course, means that owners of the device will be receiving the latest features that come with Android 10 alongside those introduced by EMUI 10.
Among the features that will be shipping is the system-wide dark mode for better readability and power saving. This is alongside improved performance, thanks to the new file system introduced in EMUI 9.1, magazine-style UI layout, and a new colour system across the device.
The update is set to be quite large weighing in at 3.92GB, which means you should be data conscious if WIFI isn’t available at your disposal.
To check for the update manually on your device, go to your Settings app, then System, tap on Software Update option then click on the ‘check for updates.’ If the update is available for your Huawei P30 Lite, you should be presented with a download and install option. Don’t worry if the update is not available on your device just yet, it takes time to get to all users.
What is assured though is that it will be coming really soon.
