48MP Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Headed for the Kenyan Market

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7-2

Just the other day, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 7, a budget smartphone that packs serious punches with the specifications. From the headlining 48MP camera on the back to the waterdrop notch on the front and a 4000mAh battery, there’s so much to love about the device.

As nerds around the world are ogling over the Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi Kenya – through its official Twitter account, has hinted that we should be expecting the device to hit stores soon. The company has gone as far as hinting at the price range, suggesting that we should be expecting the device to cost not more than Kes.18,000.

As I am typing this, I am trying to contain my excitement because this is one device I definitely want. For that price and the specs that come with it, it will be interesting to see how other brands react to it – I am looking at you TECNO!

The Spec Sheet

Without diving deep into the specifications of the device, here are a few highlights of what the Redmi Note 7 packs:

  • 6.3-inch Full HD display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor
  • Up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage
  • Dual 48MP + 5MP main camera and a 13MP front camera
  • 4000mAh battery
  • Android 9.0 Pie out of the box

Xiaomi Kenya did not explicitly give an expected date of arrival and going by recent trends from the company, that could be months away but we’re still excited that sometime in the near future, we’ll be getting our hands on the Redmi Note 7.
