When I think about getting a laptop I’m looking at 3 things. The design, the power and the price. So when I got hold of the ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED, I passed it through my checks and here’s my review.
ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED Review
The Design
When it comes to design I start with the body, shape and size. This model ticks all the boxes. First of all, it’s very lightweight coming in at 1.4 kg. In terms of the body, the chassis and lids of the ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED series are made of lightweight, diamond-cut
aluminium alloy.
This means it easily fits into your book bag and is so light you may forget you have it with you. Next is the display and let me tell you Maina, it’s beautiful. It comes with an OLED 4K UHD NanoEdge touchscreen display. The colours are sharp, the backs are blacking and the vibrance is to die for.

Watching content on this, typing with the smooth keyboard and cruising with a touchscreen display have been a breeze! Also, we cannot forget the fact that it flips! That 360° ErgoLift hinge really makes all the difference! For that, I give it a 5/5!
Power
In this sector, it also does not disappoint. Depending on your budget, you can spec it up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. For storage, you can also get a model that supports up to 16 GB of memory, and 1TB of storage space.
It also comes with a multitude of specs and a 100W charger with a handy type-c charger that juices this laptop with ‘the quickness’. It’s great for content consumption, editing videos and photos and light gaming. Definitely worth a double-take. The graphics card isn’t the most powerful in the market for this price range so for that I’d have to give it a 4/5!
Price
This takes us to the last check. The price. ASUS says the device is available with Elevetus Technologies price of KES 160,000. This may be a bit steep for the common mwanachi but once you look at what you are getting with that power, portability and very responsive touchscreen, you might be ready to dig deeper in your pockets. For that, we’ll give it a 3/5. Wish it was a bit cheaper but quality is a tad bit expensive.
So who is this laptop for?
This laptop best suits designers, editors and content creators. With the additional pen, touchscreen and powerful chipset, you would not go wrong with this laptop for your professional career.
