Samsung announced and launched the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 a year ago and with that came a lot of speculation. A lot of people are wondering what makes them different so let’s check them out. First the similarities!
Samsung Galaxy A52 vs Galaxy A72
Similarities
The two devices actually have quite a lot of similarities. The two both have:
- 64MP Main Cameras
- 90Hz refresh rate displays
- 6-8GB’s of RAM and 128GB internal storage
- Onscreen fingerprint scanner capabilities
- IP67 Waterproof tested
- Android 11
So much to go by already but lets take a look at the differences first before we make a choice.
Differences
Here is where the Galaxy A72 stands out:
- The A72 stands tall at 6.7 inches while the A52 stands at 6.5 inches
- The A72 also has a larger battery, at 5000mAH
Verdict
When looking into such differences you must look beyond the specifications. Yes the A72 has a bigger battery but it also has a larger screen. This means more battery will be used up and could end up having similar battery results with the A52.
According to this video, the A52 lasts longer than the A72.But in the same breath, the A72 charges faster than all its predecessors by a mile.
Camera-wise, seeing as they have the same camera set-up, the quality should be the same and this test proves this.
So when picking between these two, it’s more about the state of your pocket. You will not lack much should you pick the A52 over the A72. However, if you want a slightly faster phone, larger battery and faster charging, then the A72 should be your phone of choice.
