Kenya’s fate, at least for the next 5 years, rests in the actions of today. Your decision to vote, or lack thereof, will determine the path we take as a country. With that in mind, it’s best to keep up to date with all the happenings of the Kenya 2022 General elections. These websites will be giving live updates on the voter turnout and results as they are announced.
2022 Kenya General Elections: Websites To Follow
Nation.Africa
As of the local channels taking up this task, we have nation.africa. On this website, you will see live updates to the minute on what’s going on. Nation will be live blogging the election all day and the latest news first. They note that if you are playing catch up, you can start by scrolling down to the bottom. Check out the election results here
In addition to this, their youtube page is also showing live coverage of the general election.
Other channels like Citizen TV are also showing live coverage of the electoral process here.
NY Times & Aljazeera
Internationally, we’ve got the NY Times and Aljazeera covering pretty much the same areas. Additionally, they have a bit more in-depth pieces on what the elections really mean to Kenyans and stories from before the elections.
Social Media
If you are more of a social media guru, Twitter should be enough to keep you in the know. We believe it’s best to follow the official IEBC page to avoid fake news/propaganda.
Voting in diaspora is happening in 12 countries: Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, South Sudan, Qatar, UAE, and Germany.
