Kenyan Content Creators Can Now Earn on Facebook

Meta has recently introduced two new tools that enable eligible content creators in Kenya to earn money. These new features, which were launched two days ago, include in-stream ads and Facebook ads on reels. These ads can be placed before, during, or after prerecorded or live-streamed content videos.

According to Meta, this new monetization feature will provide support for Kenyan video content in over 30 languages globally, including Swahili.

In order to use the new features, content creators must follow Facebook’s partner and content monetization policies. These policies include an age restriction of 18+. For in-stream ads, creators must have at least 5,000 followers and 60,000 total watch minutes in the past two months, along with meeting other requirements.

Meta has approved Facebook monetization for content creators in Nigeria and Ghana, as well as in other countries, including Egypt, South Africa, and Rwanda.
