Samsung last week unveiled the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 in a global live-streamed event. The global unveil event took place in San Francisco, while the local unveil took place at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi.

The Galaxy S23 series comes in four nature-inspired matte hues: Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender. All the devices will be available at Samsung authorized dealer stores including Safaricom from 1st March 2023.

Pre-Order

Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series started on February 2nd and runs until the end of the month. You should consider to pre-order the device through Samsung or Safaricom. It is expected that the prices would be higher if purchased after the pre-order period.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 will also be eligible for Samsung Care+. It offers among other things, a 1-year free screen protection.

Those who pre-order the Galaxy S23 Ultra will receive an automatic upgrade from 256 GB to 526 GB device storage worth 20,000 shillings. They also will receive 10 GB of data each month for one year (Safaricom Network only).

Customers who pre-order the Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 will receive a free silicone case as well as 10GB of data each month for one year.

Samsung has another partnership with KCB and Standard Chartered Bank of Kenya. Once you use a KCB/StanChart Credit card to buy any Galaxy S23 phone at Safaricom stores, you get 0% interest for 6 months.

Trade-in 

Consumers can acquire the Galaxy S23 series through a trade-in program in partnership with Badili Africa. Badili is a Kenyan company that offers a smartphone resale service.

It will be at the value of USD 200, USD 150, and USD 100 for the S23 Ultra, S23+, and S23 respectively. This is limited offer will be available in 12 official Samsung Stores.
